Our prayer for today is a prayer based on Acts 15:1–12

Blessed are you, O Lord our God, King of the universe. You knew that the whole world needed to be saved. We know that signs and wonders are being done in your name throughout the entire world. Each act calls people to come to know you as their Creator and God. Give us opportunities to share our faith and not place weighty restrictions that inhibit people from fully knowing you. So that the saving grace of Jesus Christ may dwell in the hearts of the faithful. We lift this prayer in the name of the three-in-one, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

It shows us our sin and reminds us that we need a Savior. Allow us to fully live in the grace of Jesus Christ, so that as we live our lives seeking you, the power of sin is removed in our lives and we can then boldly proclaim Jesus to those around us, not only in our words, but in our actions and love. We lift this prayer confidently in the power of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May your glory shine light on all that is evil so that your truthfulness increases the glory in us and in our world. Let us live our lives worthy of the calling you have placed on us through Jesus Christ our Lord. Who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Allow our lives to be a full witness of your love and grace; strengthen us to live lives that match what we show on the outside with what dwells in our hearts as we live in Jesus Christ our Lord, and we lift this prayer in his powerful name. While it may be easy to pass judgment on others, may your grace enable us to do good so we may live in the honor and peace of Jesus Christ, who, with you and the Holy Spirit, is worshiped and glorified. Let us not become weary in doing good so the harvest we reap may be good work for the family of believers in Christ. We lift this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

While we may be tempted to gratify the desires of the flesh. We pray that the guiding of the Holy Spirit leads us to live the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Allow that fruit to remind us that we live our lives in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
