Our prayer for today is a prayer based on 2 Corinthians 11: 21b-31

God of power and might. We like to talk about how strong we are. What victories we hold, and all of the ways that we are the best. Help us to see that when we boast in our accomplishments, riches, status, or even heritage, we slowly edge you out of our lives and place ourselves as Lord. Remind us that through our daily concerns, lift us up in our weakness and let us proclaim those weaknesses so that you, the God and Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, will be praised forever and ever. Amen.

At times, we will be told to be quiet, but through your Holy Spirit, guide us to speak words of blessing and truth, so that in and through all, the love of Jesus Christ will be proclaimed.
