Our prayer for today is a prayer based on Galatians. 5: 16 - 24

Holy and Loving God, we give you thanks for the gift of your Holy Spirit to journey with us. While we may be tempted to gratify the desires of the flesh. We pray that the guiding of the Holy Spirit leads us to live the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Allow that fruit to remind us that we live our lives in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Allow us to fully live in the grace of Jesus Christ, so that as we live our lives seeking you, the power of sin is removed in our lives and we can then boldly proclaim Jesus to those around us, not only in our words, but in our actions and love. We give thanks for the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ our Lord, who has set us free. Let us fully live in that freedom and totally discard the yoke of slavery in our lives. Let us love our neighbor as ourselves, so we don’t destroy each other with our actions or words. But let us fully live in the example of life given to us by Jesus the Christ.
