Our prayer for today is a prayer based on Romans 2: 25-3:8

God who is faithful, we praise you that even in those moments when we are unfaithful, your faithfulness is always true. May your glory shine light on all that is evil so that your truthfulness increases the glory in us and in our world. Let us live our lives worthy of the calling you have placed on us through Jesus Christ our Lord. Who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

It shows us our sin and reminds us that we need a Savior. Allow us to fully live in the grace of Jesus Christ, so that as we live our lives seeking you, the power of sin is removed in our lives and we can then boldly proclaim Jesus to those around us, not only in our words, but in our actions and love. We lift this prayer confidently in the power of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We give thanks for the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ our Lord, who has set us free. Let us fully live in that freedom and totally discard the yoke of slavery in our lives. Let us love our neighbor as ourselves, so we don’t destroy each other with our actions or words. But let us fully live in the example of life given to us by Jesus the Christ. Who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen.
